Phosphorus

Phosphorus is an element (chemical) and is atomic number 15 and the symbol is P. Phosphorus is a non-metal and apart of the nitrogen group and has 15 eutrons, electrons and protons . It is found in inorganic phosphate rocks. It exists in two forms; white phosphorus and red phosphorus. Because of its reactivity phosphorus is not found as a free element on Earth. Phosphorus is found in DNA, RNA, ATP and other phospholipids that make up cell membranes. That makes phosphorus vital for living things. Phosphorus compounds are also widely used in explosives, nerve agents, friction matches, fireworks, pesticides, toothpaste, and detergents.
